If you study finance, understanding the world’s fastest growing economy is a tremendous asset. Consider Queen’s Master of Finance, a year-long program that takes place at Renmin University in Beijing. With classes taking place on weekends and some evenings, students can opt to continue working while they earn their degree – and enjoy the sights and culture of China as well.
Renmin University is one of China’s premiere business schools and has produced many prominent figures in the country’s reform and development. Students will study at the Hanqing Advanced Institute of Economics and Finance, known for its innovative approach to education. Ten world-class professors, five from Renmin and five from Queen’s, provide insight into current financial trends and practices in both Canada and China. Classes will also focus on business communication skills. In addition to the 10 courses, students can attend workshops and seminars delivered by financial professionals for an enhanced learning experience.
This program is taught in English. However, the advanced curriculum is now offered in both English and Mandarin. You can also join optional preparation classes for the CFA Level 1 and 2 exams. Students may also attend an additional course back in Canada at Queen’s University.
Beyond the curriculum, the Queen’s Master of Finance inducts alumni into a valuable industry network. Both Universities provide career resources and ongoing opportunities to build contacts. Graduates have found that their connection to Queen’s has helped them long after they begun working in finance. Take advantage of this prestigious and flexible program to give your career a cutting edge!
